RIDERS OF THE STORM

Amongst a collage of psychedelia, Captain Dennis Hopper and crew takes one on a satirical journey through post Vietnam America. This is what it is to be ""Rider's on the Storm". Directed by Maurice Phillips, it stars Dennis Hopper as a renegade commander who refuses to land his bomber even though the war has been over for fifteen years. Instead the characters fly around the United States airing the pirate station, "S&M TV". Trained by special operations during the Vietnam war, the crew are
experts in the field of electronic psychological warfare. Well trained they are, well adjusted they aren't. Consisting of a hallucinating, green burito smokin' copilot, a suicidal "VJ" and other assorted oddities, they carry out their attacks on the networks with
reckless abandon. With the power of an airborne television station at thier finger tips no one is safe from the barrage of imiagery. Can anything stop these men as the take on religion, MTV, and the American political system?  It's doubtful.
