NOTES1
EDITORS NOTE
The Generic Opinion is a music, arts and information periodical.  We publish once a month, and rely on our readers and the public for a major portion of our materials.  The Generic Opinion, prints articles from the common people and does not accept responsibility for its artistic or literary biases and view points.
This is our first issue under the new format.  Although this issue looks much like our first, we hope that the new format, will develop and meet the approval of you the reader.
Once again we have had a lack of response from our readers for articles, art and literature.  This we hope you will change, as you can now see that the Generic Opinion is not a one shot deal, and if we don't use your materials this issue, we may still use it in an upcoming issue.  I feel that we are not asking much of our public as most people have something they want to say, and we want to hear what it is.
I hope that you will support us, and our advertisers, as they are the ones that bring you the Generic Opinion.  We at the Opinion are thankful to those who contributed this month, and for the support we have been given by local businesses, and people.
    - The Editors.

PUBLISHERS NOTE
Hi once again from the publisher.  You may not have realized it but the Generic Opinion has a lost issue.  The issue became lost due to a lack of financing.  But due to the hypertext format you can now read the lost issue.  Although the comics and poems were used in issue 3, we included all the comics here and selected poetry.  Issue 2, the lost issue, is before you and will only be released in this format.  I hope that you enjoy it.
           - Colin Paterson

EDITORS NOTE
The Generic Opinion was original to be an editorial magazine.  We asked the public for submissions.  We were hopping to print worthy submissions of art, literature and opinion.  Although we had many interested people, we could not obtain enough materials for the publication at time we originally wanted to put it out.  Due to the lack of public submissions to The Generic Opinion we feel that a format change is required to allow us to better the publication.  This we found from the submissions that were received by us.  It is regrettable for me to say that this will be the first and last issue of the Generic Opinion in the Editorial format.  The next issue of the Generic Opinion will be in a new format.  We hope to have the New and Improved version available in two months time, and then one a month after that.  We still need you to send us materials because we can't do it all by ourselves.
I would like to thank the people who donate materials, our advertisers, and the people who helped us through the mayhem of the first issue.  We feel that the Generic Opinion is a worthy publication which allows the public to let others see their work and to express an opinion.  Please  continue to send in submissions, and see you again two months time.

   the Editors.

A message from the virtual publisher.

Hello, this is the first issue of the Generic Opinion? as a virtual magazine format.  This is a text only version due to our lack of a proper graphics utility or processor to allow for graphics and text.  We hope you enjoy this magazine, it is a reprint of the issue distributed on paper at the Western Canadian Independent Music Festival in Highwood Alberta.  More issue's will follow and hopefully we will have an E-mail box for magazine articles by you the readers.  After all that's why we exist so you can be heard by the world on-line and possible in one of our print issues.  Sorry about the appearance I'm not used to the editor yet.  Goodbye for now, look for a new issue on a BBS near you.

EDITORS NOTE
It isn't Christmas but this is our Christmas edition, in all actuality this was the real print Christmas edition, issue #4.  But in our virtual format it will be issue #2.  Although you may already have read issue #2, The Lost Edition.  Confused, well it happened something like this, we released our 2nd print edition first, and are now catching up.  So this issue, #4 is virtual edition #2, and our Christmas edition.  Yes, it is four months late.  This is due to the overall intoxicating effects incurred during the Christmas season and the lack of living brain cells after the festivities.  We are still looking for contributions from the public at large and we welcome any comments, complaints or just about anything you would like to tell us.  We remain a free publication and at this time we are publishing roughly every two months, so look for our next edition at a BBS near you .
In this edition we bring back Tofu Man our generic superior Both part one and two are printed here so you don't get lost if you never read issue two, also we didn't really have much else in the way of comics for this issue.  We look back at The Western Canadian Music Festival and examine some other aspects of life on this planet.  Well that about sums it up for now.  Read on and see what craziness we have managed to collect for your enjoyment.
